Alexander Wang’s latest resort 2011 collection is quite small but it’s quite wonderful. According to WWD, Wang explored the “suburban” or rather “not urban,” as he corrected, side of his sensibility. The collection features black and white as usual with a shot of brick and olive green, chunky knits, leather skirts, leather bombers, pleated skirts, below the knee skirts and shorts.

Alexander Wang is also opening his first NYC store sometime this year, yes! And he also announced that he is working on a new collection of “essentials,” which will start with a tightly edited range of three pants, two jackets and one flat-front shirt. Can’t wait to see the new line and I wonder what he’ll name it?
