Seoul Fashion Week 2011 turned out as expected, All shows were tasteful without outlandish outfits, The designers all chose to present items which could be worn, as opposed to just being pieces of art, This is why I really enjoyed Seoul Fashion Week.

Although Fashion Week was enjoyable and brought in high profile designers, it wasn’t very accessible to foreigners, which is a pity. With a little redesign of the main website and providing a website where people could easily buy tickets in English, I imagine that the foreign patronage would quickly increase. It was an excellent opportunity for those new to fashion to get their feet wet which is why I feel bad that so many people missed out on this event.

Seoul Fashion Week by Daechidong 2011

The featured designers this year included Eunju Hong, Doii Lee, Doo-Ri Chung, Lie Sang Bong and a host of others which are well known not only in Korea, but throughout the fashion industry. Although I couldn’t make all of the events, I particularly liked Lie Sang Bong and Cho Ji Hyung’s collections. This is why their collections are featured in the two image galleries at the bottom. Those who attended the shows will realize that there were much more glamorous and high profile designs. Although this is true, I’m presenting these two galleries because they are down to earth. Some Korean friends who I have spoke to have already wanted to buy some of these pieces because they can wear them
